New Emotional Wellbeing Support for Children and Young People in Warwickshire: Introducing ECHO
A brand-new service called ECHO (Every Child Heard and Offered support) has launched to provide early, community-based care for youth experiencing emotional or mental health difficulties.
What is ECHO?
ECHO is designed to offer rapid, easily accessible support for mild-to-moderate emotional wellbeing needs. It aims to help children and teenagers before their difficulties escalate.
The service is delivered by Coventry and Warwickshire Mind (CW Mind) in partnership with local trusted organizations, including Guardian Ballers, the Anna Freud Centre, Relationships Coventry and Warwickshire, and Lifespace Trust.
Who can use ECHO?
-
- Age group: Children and young people aged 0 to 18.
- Extended support: Young people up to age 25 who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
How is this different from the Rise service?
Many of our patients are familiar with Rise (delivered by the Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust).
-
- ECHO focuses on early intervention for lower-level concerns like mild anxiety, low mood, stress, friendship or school friction, and emotional regulation.
- Rise continues to operate alongside ECHO, focusing on specialist, intensive, and complex mental health or neurodevelopmental needs.
Together, these services ensure that local children receive the right level of care at the right time.
