PPG – Project Updates

The Avonside Patient Participation Group (PPG) have officially launched two new projects:

  1. Contacting patients who have not been seen in over two years – the aim is to establish any additional patient needs to support as to why they have not bee seen during this period of time. They will be launching focusing on over 65 year old patients initially. Following the calls, relevant support may be provided by the relevant practitioner to help any patient needs identified whether i.e. food bank vouchers, information on community activities to reduce loneliness and more.
  2. NHS App support and training for patients – any patients who feel they need some help in using the NHS app may have a one-to-one session with Kim or Colin to help demonstrate how to use the app. This may be for ordering repeat prescriptions or submitting an appointment request. If a patient would like support, they are encouraged to get in touch. Patients may also be referred from other members of staff should they state they would like some help using the NHS App.
