Patient Coordinator

As a Patient Coordinator you will often be the first point of contact for our patients, and the candidate must be person-centred and a team player with an eye for detail and accuracy

Minimum of 15 hours per week needed.

Working hours/shift patterns:

  • Mornings 8.15 to 13.00
  • Afternoons 13.00 to 18.00
  • All day 8.15 to 18.00 with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break
  • Overtime may be required to meet the needs of the Practice when needed e.g. annual leave/sickness cover
  • Limited evening and weekend clinics for Extended Hours

As a Patient Coordinator in General Practice your responsibilities include:

  • Booking appointments with a variety of clinicians and Allied Health Professionals
  • Processing registrations / deductions
  • Processing medication requests
  • Chaperone for clinicians 
  • Providing front-of-house reception services to patients, checking in patients and answering/resolving queries as needed both in-person and over the phone 
  • Dealing with inbound and outbound post as required 
  • Updating patient records as required
  • Supporting the Clinical team with referrals and admin

This list is not exhaustive and you will be expected to complete tasks as necessitated by your role and complete reasonable management requests that fall within the scope of the role from time to time
